Employee Spotlight – Tim Weir

It’s time to learn more about Tim Weir, Apogee’s Commercial Lines Director of Production. Working out of our Wayne, PA home office, Tim specializes in our Commercial Lines products and leads our East Coast Commercial Lines Account Management Team. Check out our mini interview with Tim below and get to know him a little bit more!

“I have 3 labradoodles named Benjamin, Franklin, and Winston. For college, I went to the University of the Arts, but it no longer exists. I was also the mascot for a Japanese baseball team, the Hiroshima Cup, and I once decided to walk across the Ben Franklin Bridge in the rain to go to a Weezer concert.”

“When I’m not working, I love working in my garden or practicing Australian Football with the Philly Hawks. Improv comedy is also a hobby of mine, and I perform with ComedySportz Philadelphia.”

“I have friends in a lot of places (across the United States, Japan, Australia, England, and Canada), some of whom I may never see again. I’d like the opportunity to hang out with them in-person and catch up with what’s been going on in their lives.“

“Learn as much as you can about the insurance industry.”

“‘Yes, and…’ This is the basis of improvisational acting where you must accept and build upon whatever is happening in a scene. The same philosophy can be useful in life as well.”
